Whilst original features were retained in compliance with the requirements of the Grade 2 listing, and the general style of the interior construction retained a traditional feel, the majority of the services installation was modern.
The pool hall was provided with full environmental control to maintain comfort condition, the basement was substantially provided with under-floor heating but, the remainder of the rooms were traditionally heated with concealed radiators, encased within fixed-furniture, panelling, and other decorative features.
Localised scene-setting lighting systems were provided in the principal rooms to control the contemporary general and feature lighting, interlinked to allow a degree of central control, particularly in the stairwell and circulation areas. |
